At DCA our professional coaches provide a fun and inspirational environment for athletes to train, learn and grow up in. They have a passion for the sport of cheer and it shows when they are coaching their classes and teams. Our coaches are continually learning new techniques, drills, and specialities to provide the best and safest training for all athletes.
Meet Shawna! Started cheerleading during high school and simply fell in love with it. After high school I began coaching at both junior and senior high schools. When all star cheerleading started in Edmonton I was so excited to become an athlete again and compete in competitions around Canada, the States and at the Cheerleading Worlds in 2011. With over 20 years of coaching experience, I have coached all levels and ages, from mini level 1 to open level 7 and everything in between, including tumbling classes and private lessons. Currently an International Cheer Union Facilitator and get to meet coaches from all over helping them continue their growth as a coach. Cheerleading is a sport that is constantly changing, there is always something new to learn and each season I grow as a coach and gym owner. This season I get to start a new journey, not only as a coach but as a co-owner of Dynasty Cheer Allstars. Cheerleading has forever changed my life, it has become my passion and I am excited to see the sport grow in Calgary.

Meet Michael aka Mike. Started cheerleading in high school in my home town Saskatoon. Once I moved to Calgary I found myself involved with Xtreme Cheerleading where I was an athlete on the Coed Level 6 team for three years. Growing my love for the sport each year I also became involved in Roughnecks Drill Team, which included performances at home games. In 2008 I started with Pythons Cheerleading, during my time at Pythons I was an athlete for three years, and was a competitive cheerleading coach for six years. As an athlete I attended Worlds the three years I competed, however, even though I was finished competing I was not finished with the sport. I continued to coach all skill level ranging from youth to open. For the past two years I have had the privilege of coaching Senior 2 & 3 athletes, as well as coaching several private lessons varying in age and skill level. I cannot wait to continue my journey as a coach and to start my journey as a gym owner. I am excited to see the sport of cheerleading grow in Calgary.
I went into competitive cheer in 2011. Since then cheer has always been a part of my life. I've competed for 8 years and have coached with DCA for 5 years. Throughout my time in cheer I have developed physical and personal growth and have made strong friendships.
I am looking forward to see the club grow and sharing my love for cheerleading with the athletes.
I began my cheerleading journey in junior high and have continued with this wonderful sport ever since! I currently have 8 years of experience under my bow as an athlete and 4 years as a coach! I am also a student pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, with a major in Mind Sciences. I am excited to pass on the knowledge of what I have learned and continue to learn through my coaching. I am looking forward to helping athletes grow and develop not only physically but mentally, both on and off the mat.
I was first introduced to cheerleading when I joined my school team and it was love at first stunt. Since then I've been involved as an athlete for 8 years and a coach for 6 years. I'm looking forward to continuing to further my coaching knowledge in this ever changing sport and pushing myself to be the best coach I can be. My favorite part of cheerleading is the life long friendships that come with it.
I started cheerleading in high school, and competed in levels 2, 3, 4.2, and 6 within my 5 years on the mat. Since then, I have received a bachelor’s of Health and Physical Education, majoring in Physical Literacy, from MRU. I love being a part of the DCA family and I apply the skills I learned in school to my coaching. I love the energy of the cheerleading world and am looking forward to the competition season!

Hey ya’ll! My name is Alexis, but I also like to go by coach Lexis, Lexi, or Lex. I have been apart or recreational gymnastics ever since I was two years of age. I then started coaching at Mountain Shadows Gymnastics in Okotoks a few months prior to me turning twelve. The first time I ever tried out for cheerleading was back in grade 8 at John Paul II junior high school and this is where my love for cheerleading began. After two years in junior high varsity cheerleading, I ventured my way to the All-Star cheer with Pythons for their final two varsity cheerleading, seasons as a senior athlete. Competed for another two years with PA as an open athlete before moving to U of C to cheer for another total of two years and found my way back to All-Star cheer with PSC. I began my cheerleading coaching career at PSC after I had cheered on their open level 4 in 2019. I got the opportunity to grow as a cheer coach, coaching many different teams, skill levels, and got to expand my overall coaching knowledge. Fast forward through the pandemic which involved loads of zoom coaching, masks, and even having to coach from the Starbucks parking lot because wifi situations. I am so excited to continue my cheerleading coaching career with Dynasty Cheer Allstars!

Hey there, I am coach Chèlise (aka Chi). I am one of the original Dynasty stunt group members from year 1 of DCA. I started cheer at the early age of 21 (better late than never). I have been on an open 4 co-ed with Power Cheer Edmonton and a level 5 quad with DCA. I also cheered for Thompson Rivers University competitive collegiate team. I am so excited to be back with my family at DCA and can't wait to become a fully certified cheerleading coach. My motto is "you are never to old to learn something new". This year I am looking forward to coaching some incredible and INVINCIBLE human beings! LET'S GO!
I first started cheering in my first year of university with Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack Cheerleaders and I fell in love with the sport quickly. I was able to compete with the team for 5 years starting in level 4 and ending my time as an athlete competing level 7 and participating in University Worlds. My last year as an athlete I also started coaching and coached with the program for 2 years. I can't wait to join the Dynasty family and bring a little bit of my "collegiate spirit" with me.
